Review: “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones”

First of all, I am a huge fan of the books. City Of Bones it’s my favorite book ever! I’ve been waiting for this movie for four years, so yes! I was very excited to watch the movie.

I had the luck to attend the Mexico Premiere yesterday. Everything was perfect and beautiful, (I mean the premiere). Lily looked beautiful, Kevin, Jamie and Godfrey were 100% perfection.

It’s getting harder to write this review, because I don’t want to be harsh on a movie that I’ve been waiting for so long.

I liked the movie. It was okay. For having a 60 million budget I thought it was good. As a fan of the books, I think that the explanation that they give to you in the movie, it’s not so clear. I think it was nice to put some quotes from the book in the movie. But honestly, the screenplay was a disaster. Not a beautiful disaster. A DISASTER.

I had some doubts about Harald Zwart as the director of a movie like this. Please Constantin Film, change the director for the third movie. I’m begging you.

I loved the choice of actors, I think they did a great job. Congratulations!

And to all of you that say that “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones”, is like Twilight… I will find you and then I’ll kill you.

But after some huge mistakes, I will watch this movie again and again and again. And I’ll never stop. I have mixed feelings for this movie. But yeaaah, I liked it. And I just can’t wait for the second one! I’m happy with the result. I hope that the next ones will beat up every single YA adaptation! Have faith.

C’mon SHADOWHUNTERS! Give me your power!

And I’m sorry for the bipolar review…

(Call me crazy!) but…6.8 out of 10 stars!

    1. The books are absolutely A M A Z I N G! I don’t have words to explain how much I loved the books. And maybe the reason that the movie didn’t attracted me so much, was because, I was with the idea that it wouldn’t be so good. And I’m so sorry for that!

    1. I know right?! Okay, do you want to compare to anything it’s okay to compare to Harry Potter, I understand. I protect and respect a person’s own idea. Cassandra Clare created a world of her own, J.K. Rowling did the same, so did Stephanie Meyer. And their ideas was original. I read the Twilight Saga and it was a big disappointment to me. City of Bones, it’s a MILLION DOLLAR IDEA, No, no! The whole saga is! And I love it!
