Note From The Author…

Hello guys, so I haven’t been really active here for years now. High school kind of took all of my time and I haven’t been able to write about the movies that I have watched.

However, now that I just graduated I wanted to return to blogging, but with a new visual and maturity, that is why I want to invite you all to start following me at my new blog, OPTNTD

I hope to see you all there.

Movie Review: The Book Of Life

Since I know a little bit from Mexico’s Culture. I can say this movie captures the beautiful essence of the Day of the Dead. Mexico is a country full of color and full of beautiful traditions. The Book of Life is visually stunning. It is full of amazing music that keeps you entertained and at the edge of your seat.

The Book of Life is filled with a beautiful love story, worth of sacrifices and finding your self worth. What I most enjoyed of this movie was of course the cinematography, but I loved to see how actors from everywhere came together to give a voice to these amazing characters.

What I appreciated was to see each character having something that makes them different. Of course, everyone is different, but what I mean is how each one of them makes the story and the film flawless. Seeing the country that I am fond with take form in such a spectacular and marvelous way, and I was very happy to hear that everyone loved this movie.

It is quite a stunning ride, and I am pretty sure it will be nominated to a Academy Award. Congratulations Guillermo del Toro!

Review: ¨Guardians of The Galaxy¨

OH. MY. GOD. I just love Marvel so freaking much, seriously… I could have a heart attack in the middle of cinema. I could seriously die watching a Marvel film and just die happy… but I seriously need to watch them all first and theeeeen I could die happy.

I just loved this movie so so so so so much. I don’t have words for it other than PURE PERFECTION. Chris Pratt is a sensational actor come on! He is amazing, and watching him in Parks and Recreation and then in this awesomeness of movie he is just hilarious! Every single one of them! Rocket Raccoon is just perfect! I just loved the visuals and the storyline and everything about it!

The only thing that did disappoint me was the credits scene! It was so unnecessary and boring, Marvel could have played with something a little bit better, I was hoping for something a little bit more exciting, but overall the movie was just brilliant.

The only thing that I must have is a Groot, I MUST HAVE ONE. I loved it, loved it, loved it! And I can’t wait for the second one, or at least have a Guardians of The Galaxy and The Avengers together, THAT would cause me a stroke, and I am ready, so please bring them together it would be hilarious!

10 out of 10 stars to the movie and Star-Lord, and Gamora, and Rocket, and Groot, and Drax,…I LOVE YOU GUARDIANS!

Review: ¨X-Men: Days of Future Past¨

As X-Men made a mark on my childhood, like Harry Potter, I was super excited for this movie to come out. I enjoy watching The Wolverine in action, or the younger version of Professor Xavier and Magneto, and the list goes on and on. But I wanted to see the originals all together in a bad ass movie and thanks to Bryan Singer I got that from Days of Future Past. And the best part, YES THE BEST PART, was seeing that everyone is back!!! YEP,… EVERYONE!!! JEAAAN I AM TALKING TO YOU! I was fan girling as crazy at the movie theater! Jean is baaaack! And I just love her, as a mutant, and everything, because when I was little I used to play X-Men with my uncle and I wanted to be Jean Grey, because of course she is my favorite mutant ever. My only wish was to see more of the original cast, but just the sight of them together was great!

And what I also liked about this movie besides of everything?! Was the mistakes-correction, like the one that they killed half of the mutants in X-Men: The Last Battle. And come on Quicksilver is a genius! He is just awesome! Love Evan Peters so… thank you. (But, I still love Aaron Taylor-Johnson more than you Evan so sorry…)

And I am just so excited to watch everyone come back together, that I just can’t wait for the next next movie to come out! (Because the next movie is X-Men: Apocalypse, and is going to be with the First Class cast… so got to wait until the next movie) OOOHHH THE FEEELSS!!!

The effects were sooooo visual orgasmic, I just loved everything from this movie, seriously! And the Sentinels,… WOW, just amazing, I hated them, but they were so cool!

10 out of 10 stars for the X-Men!

Movie Review: “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”

I am lucky enough to be part of one of the countries where I can enjoy watching Marvel movies before anyone in the States! So… HAHA take THAT America! (I’m just kidding I love the US).

This movie was spectacular in a visual and beautifully way. My eyes thanks you. Really, the special effects… they are unbelievable. Seriously, Visual Effects Department, you deserve a big fat TEN.

But now, let’s talk about the story. I liked the way that the story was introduced, and it’s character. I thought it was nice to know a little bit more about the story of each villain, mainly Electro’s, (Jamie Foxx), and Green Goblin’s, (Dane DeHaan), I wish the movie could go a little bit faster, but when it got to the end, I wanted more.

In this sequel, Peter Parker, (Andrew Garfield), has to live with the guilty of the death of Gwen Stacy’, (Emma Stone), father. Peter finds himself breaking his promise to her father, and finds himself graduating high school. Throughout the movie, Peter investigates his father secrets, while Spidey’s enemies grow stronger.

I can’t say anymore, because I will spoil things. I know my big mouth. But what happens in this film is the start of something much more bigger, and I can’t wait to see more of Spider-Man in the future. I am dying for the third one, already.

I loved the story. I love the cast. I loved this movie. It is an action packed story with incredible special effects. Really, you will love it.

It is an amazing sequel to an amazing superhero. This saga deserves it.

Back Where We Belong

I am back where I belong now. I missed the writing and I missed being part of my first blog. I don’t have many followers and I know that I am only an amateur. But I love what I do here. I love to write. And that is what I am going to do. Write.

There isn’t much to say, only that I am back. And I promise to myself that I will be writing more often.

Review: “Frozen”

First of all,… I don’t know what happened, but I stopped writing in this blog that I love so much. But, coming back from the “dark-time-of-writing”, I decided to write a review about a movie that I loved so much. A movie that taught great things for this new generation. Frozen.

Frozen, to me has two sides of a story; the cliché one, where love-destroys-all-evil. And the new one, which girl-power-rules, (of course, ladies!).

I loved pretty much everything about this movie, and I’m supposed to say that it brought me back to my childhood, but it didn’t. This movie is part of my adolescence, and being at my age and watching this movie with my best friend, I realized how Disney grabbed every single awkward moment in a girl’s life and gave life to an amazing character, which is Anna.

I probably loved this movie so much, because I identified myself with one of the leading characters. I loved how the “Prince Charming” is actually this pretty awesome good-looking-but-not-amazing-looking guy.

The songs for this movie, are absolutely brilliant and beautiful. I kind of have “Let It Go”, stuck in my head. (Not the Demi Lovato one,…because that one isn’t very good. Actually, it sucks. You should all listen to Idina’s one, that one is gold.)

Everyone. Seriously,…E V E R Y O N E, should watch this movie. Because it’s beautiful, heart-touching, spectacular, and pure Disney-perfection.

R.I.P Paul Walker

On Saturday afternoon, we lost a great actor. I just can’t believe that happened. I know I’m just a fan. I don’t even know him. But he was great. I loved watching him and Vin Diesel in Fast & Furious. I’ll miss watching him.

I just can’t believe that something like that really happened. I just can’t is like I’m in shock or something but I just can’t believe he is really gone. It may sound cruel, but is the pure irony of destiny. I’m heartbroken.

“If the speed kills me, don’t cry because I was smiling.” – Paul Walker

You are gone but not forgotten. We’ll miss you.

Review: “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”

Speechless. Spectacular. Incredible. Stunning. Perfect. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is all of that and more. It’s a phenomenon. In a good and pleasant way.
You would think that is stupid or whatever, (but yes, I’m emotional), I cried throughout the film. I like movies that can cause a different emotion in me. And this one did. I felt hopeless. That’s why I cried. I felt hopeless and lost, and heartbroken. But excited at the same time.

I read the books, and even though I didn’t loooove the trilogy, the second book written by Suzanne Collins captivated me. And it was perfect. Perfect adapted. Perfect director. Perfect cast. Perfect acting from all of them. And I loved the fact that in the trailer of this film is not like, “Oscar Winner… Jennifer Lawrence,” This movie captivates and is a attention seeker by itself. It was perfect. I can’t explain how stunning it was. I’ve watched two times in less than 24 hours. (I’m actually proud of myself).

In this second stallment of The Hunger Games Trilogy, Katniss and Peeta must return to the Quarter Quell, where each victor from past Hunger Games from each district, must fight in the Games, again.

If you haven’t seen it, which I highly doubt, go watch it like 2,000 times more. Because it’s worth it, and beautiful. The cast is pure perfection.

10 out of 10 stars!! (Because is my favorite movie since Harry Potter)

“The Future Belongs To Those Who Know Where They Belong”

When the first trailer came out I thought that it was a good adaptation of Roth’s book. I loved the first trailer until the end came up. Thinking about the people that haven’t read the book, they wouldn’t understand. But this…THIS is a good book-to-movie-adaptation. And I’m so happy to see that everything I read, (in one of the best dystopian trilogies I’ve EVER read in my life), is brought to life. With good action, good cast and an amazing story that leaves you wanting more.

As Shailene Woodley said, the world of Divergent is giant. And there is so much to tell in the book, and in 2 minutes and a half, Neil Burger proved that he could take a not-high-budget-movie and turn into something incredible. This trailer just leaves me wanting to watch the movie even more. And to those of you who doesn’t know what Divergent is about, I leave all of you the summary:

In Beatrice Prior’s dystopian Chicago world, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can’t have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

There you go, and I hope with all my heart that watching this trailer you’ll realize that this movie will rock 2014, and read the book because it is an awesome book.
